The Hungarian subsidiary of the British DS Smith, a leading supplier of sustainable packaging solutions, is launching development projects at three of its Hungarian facilities simultaneously.

With PIMCO Kft.'s investment, glass wool production is set to return to Hungary. The EUR 47.5 million plant in Szerencs is on schedule, with the highest point of the construction completed and marked by a traditional topping out ceremony. The plant, capable of producing 19,000 tons of insulation material annually, is set to start operations in early 2025, employing over 100 workers.

Siemen's has been present in the energy industry for over 150 years now; however, Siemens Energy was established in Munich in 2020. The Budapest plant, which provides a secure livelihood for more than 2,000 people, expanded its portfolio with the production of gas turbine combustors in the multifunctional centre inaugurated today.
